Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hang on, isnt this thread meant to be about happiness?

Happiness is having a raw steak on a hot stone. Slicing a bit of rare steak off and enjoying it... and knowing due to the hot stone every slice following it is going to be that _little_ bit more done.... until the last slice which is somewhere between medium rare and well done.

A plethora of meat experiences and tastes all on one stone/plate, all on one night. THATS happiness :)

As a non-boxer, I'd always assumed that winning a boxing match was an incredibly unhappy experience.

I worked as a waiter once, woman ordered a steak, i asked how would she like it cooked, and she says 'oh, medium-rare to well'
    .
    medium it is so

Happiness is finally starting a relationship with someone you've wanted to for ages, then falling into proper love with them and them feeling the same:D

    ah.

the process of the woman becoming the man and the man, the woman dis can only be how you say.. spontaneous?

For obvious reasons, hearing John Lennon sing those words always leaves me cold.

On a lighter note, an even more profound Liverpudlian sang:

"When you go measuring my success
Don't count my money, but my happiness"

He sang that song in 1964, in 1989 he was charged but acquitted of tax evasion, despite admitting to having £336,000 stashed in suitcases in the attic of his house.

"Don't do what I do, do what I sing", Ken Dodd never said.

That's an incredibly weird thing to think.

    Incredibly odd.

You've been training hard for weeks for a fight, you engage in your sporting event [the bout] and you win. It's the same as winning a tennis match. Would you think tennis players are incredibly unhappy after they win a tennis match?

I dislike it when it's hard to detect cheek in a post. I would hate to try and un-lol.

I don't know, probably only a tennis player would understand that feeling.

Why would you think somebody would be incredibly unhappy for excelling in their sport?

"Damn, I'm the winner, gonna go home and cry myself to sleep. Wish I lost."

I don't really think that. I'm lolling at...
    Winning a boxing match.

Those who box understand what I mean.

... which implied that non-boxers would not understand that winning a boxing match makes a boxer happy.

the cheap thing is buying them [not that theyre cheap in this country mind] the expensive thing is insurance, shoeing and farrier visits, worming, hay, stable rent etc and living in residential care have not got the ability to just get up and go look after them as we do not have enough staff per person to just do that when we want.

Sorry Ted, I got a little tired of the whole rabbit idea, so I bought 12 Rottweilers instead.

For me, happiness is being 30m beneath the waves swimming with sharks.

Just back from my annual pilgrimage to the Red Sea and I miss her already.

Happiness for me is just before arriving at a golf driving range and the anticipation of shortly hitting golf balls. For me it's akin to a child on Christmas morning going down the stairs to open presents. The excitement of the balls filling up the basket from the machine. Actually hitting the balls where I want is irrelevant as it's that serotonin of the anticipation that drives the happiness, pardon the pun.
