Resting a team for so many days in advance could do more harm than good. You don't need that amount of rest to be in peak condition, it could disrupt their rythem in the final.

Maybe he's thinking that his first team players wouldn't put in the required effort today in fear of getting injured, which would be understandable.

Swansea are rightly prioritising a Cup Final. They aren't going to qualify for the CL or get relegated. Correct attitude.

Liverpool need to win well now given the Swansea line up. Nothing else acceptable.

If they go out with a bunch of their players who haven't played a full game in 2 weeks they could easily be caught out.

If they lose next week then they could probably do with the 3 points to keep up the chase for a Europa spot, there's also fair amount of money at stake for each place higher up the table.

I agree that the 3 points are important. If we win it'll be against a weakened side and still leaves Rodgers open to the accusation being made so often that he's not beat a decent team yet. I'd like that one to be put down ASAP.

Eh, what? It's not their first choice 11 but they're all first team players. They're entitled to make use of their squad, that's what it's there for. It's not like they fielded a bunch of reserves.
