myself and GF are considering what to do. she is 29 , I'm 32. She has been out of work now for 2 years. both of us are well qualified - both of us have degrees and various other diplomas and certificates. I worked in computer industry for 8 years, then started teaching. I had a good run of teaching work for past 2 years, but it has all dried up now with budgets being cut. I don't want to / won't / can't go back to a desk job , as it's messed up my back and messes with my head. We'd both really like to get away somewhere, out to the countryside. I wouldn't mind doing manual work - I think we need a complete lifestyle change.
Has anybody been there, done this? If so I'd like to hear your story. Thanks
