    Fresh out of a busy January where we had Mika Vainio, Arpanet & Truss all over to play, Shady Promoters are back with our next event featuring the return of Legowelt fresh off the release of his latest killer long player, ‘The Paranormal Soul’ released on Clone.

    Legowelt is the encompassing musical vision born from the mind of The Hague's Danny Wolfers. Since his first productions in the early nineties - inspired variously by Detroit and Chicago pioneers including UR, Blake Baxter and Mr. Fingers - there have been tens of singles, EPs and remixes for the likes of Bunker, Clone, Creme, L.I.E.S. and his own Strange Life imprint. Perennially fascinated by old and battered noise-making machines, his genre output is defined by analogue textures and classic values as well as an ever roaming sense of sonic investigation that veers from jackin’ Chi traxx to lo-fi techno via freaky deepness and old school acid jams.

    Working under multiple schizophrenic aliases inc. (deep breaths) Franz Falckenhaus, Gladio, House Of Jezebel, Jackmaster Corky, Nacho Patrol, Polarius, Salamandos, Smackos, Squadra Blanco, Trackman Lafonte, Twilight Moose, Venom 18 and Westside Box Savants... Legowelt is the one most renowned aand a show the man has been perfecting for the last decade at clubs across the world, fitting in alongside playing with fellow Dutch electro and Chicago specialist Orgue Electronique as Chicago Shags and running murky afro-spy band Nacho Patrol

    DJ support on the night comes from Test Industries’ 30-something Jay Galligan. This dapper DJ/promoter about town is well versed to playing alongside some of the leading lights of electro and techno with appearances alongside artists such as Neil Landstrumm, Redshape, Sleeparchive, Legowelt, The Advent, Decal, Robert Hood, Ben Klock, Paul Kalkbrenner, Audion, Surgeon, Dopplereffekt, Regis, Function, Jeff Mills a regular feature in Jay’s diary.

    Opening up the night's entertainment is long-time Legowelt fan and supporter, Simon Conway. Having brought Danny to Ireland for the first time in 2004 during the heady days of his club Electric City at The Metropolitan, Simon’s looking forward to a slap-up meal on their return visit to Zaytoon's Parliament St branch.
