How can I get a connection to make friends?

Hi

I've just moved to dublin for volunteering before 3 months.

and actually I was expecting lots of interest things but now I feel bored and little homesick

That's because there's no connection to meet new people.

sometimes I feel like my relationship with others is just stopped.

of course I tried to meet new people several time, but most difficult thing was english.. (english is not my first language so I used to hide my emotion)
and my irregular day-offs.

but now I've started to feel lonely even though there are my co-worker here.

How can I meet new people??

I just want a person that I can text easily at any time.

If you're not confident with your english why not join the language exchange in the library in the Ilac centre, a lot of people go there unsure of how they'll meet people but you'll make friends quite quickly as people are very friendly there and are also trying to learn english, so you'll have something in common immediately.

You need to think ...... what are YOU interested in ?

A sport ? A hobby ? An interest ? Cinema ? Learning English ? Reading ? History ? Theatre ?

Then use the Internet to find clubs/groups where other people with the SAME interest get together :-)

I like your recommendations pilger. I also know a nice korean restaurant in town where a lot of young koreans are working and they might recommend something as well. let´s just go there for lunch at some stage and talk to them. they´re very open i think.
