Turn off second HDD when no needed?

    My Laptop has 2 physical harddrives.

    Its a gaming laptop and i have my games stored on the second non OS drive.

    When im using the laptop for just browsing and other stuff i have no need for the second drive and according to my temp monitoring software this hdd is running between 35-40 degrees when its idle.

    Is there a way for me to turn this HDD off and help me cool this beast. I dont need it melting my knees when im just flicking around boards. :D

    Just go into your power settings, and set to power down at 5 mins idle or something like that.
    The temp will stay around the same as the rest of the stuff...
