    How much in general do you have to pay an estate agent for a booking deposit? Does it depend on the value of the house ie 275000?

    It used to be 2% of the property value but that may well have changed in recent times.

    It probably depends on the EA they may differ from place to place.

    It's usually flat. 5k. Have seen 10k but house was more expensive.
