Even though I still have plenty of interest in this I just cant let this bet pass up, he was someone I wanted to back before the event but decided on Dustin instead :o now he is back I contention I couldn't let what I consider too big a price pass me by. Only 4 shots behind the leaders and a major winner.

    Justin Rose 2pt e/w @33/1 (paying 3 places @ 1/4 odds)

I have outlayed that much I need a winner just to break even for the week :o but fcuk it, its the Masters!!!

Not a good year thus far, a couple of reasons for this so not too concerned and I was down 100 points at one stage last year aswell, I do need to start taking the challenge seriously again as I was speculating pts out of boredom at times, one thing I considered was increasing my stake to €10 per pt to try refocus but I think I would be best off starting again if I was the change my stake.

Difficult tournament to assess and it is just the type of even that Westwood used win regularly but I think the hangover from the masters will be difficult to overcome

a couple of bets so far

    wells fargo
    Justin Rose 3pt win @22/1

I feel Rose will get a win in his next few starts but I might be a week too soon, I was hoping for 25s in which case I would have went each way but gona play in conservatively with a 3point win

    Championship
    Prayed Marksaeng 1pt e/w @125/1

I wasn't gona have a bet in this originally but I think 125s is far too big for Marksaeng here I had him about a 70s shot and I see powers have him at 50s so I think there is good each way value in the 125s

I have a couple more for the wells fargo that I hoping will get matched at big prices, if not I may take the lower price and back each way, also have one that interests me for first round leader depending on his price but will update once bets are on

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,750 ✭✭✭redzerdrog

i am sick this the bets i was looking to get matched

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,750 ✭✭✭redzerdrog

still a bit sick this morning, i thought at one stage one mite beat him to frl or eve two tied him to ease the pain

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,750 ✭✭✭redzerdrog

After originally trying to get matched on Cabrera outright I decided that he had a better chance of 1st round leader as he has been having shoulder difficulties recently so it will be a real kick in the stones if he goes on to win it outright.

All is not lost for the weekend though with Justin Rose only 1 shot behind going into the weekend and playing well, Anders Hanson is leading in Europe after round 3 and Woodland still with a chance of a place with 2 rounds to go, if I come out of this weekend with no returns it will be a very bitter pill to swallow

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,750 ✭✭✭redzerdrog

hopefully get the chance to tidy up this over the weekend.

    This weeks bets

    outright
    rose 2pt e/w @28/1
    Donald 1pt win @25/1
    Dustin 1pt e/w @50/1

    bo van pelt 0.5pt e/w @125/1
    boo weekley 0.5pt e/w @175/1

I have had some shocking bad luck in recent week but the positive are there regarding selections and at least there are some returns. The Cabrera bet that didn't get matched was a kick in the stones and then on the same weekend for Anders Hanson to be pipped by Aguliar (who I had backed a week or so previous) with a -10 under and a miraculous shot on the last to win it was a bitter one but sure thats part of the highs and lows. Happy with Justin Rose's Place last week but only for a mini blow up at the turn it could have been more.

I only started getting winners at this time last year so hopefully we can kick on in the next few weeks. I will also have a lot more time on my hands after this week so should be able to put in the extra research.

Backed Luiten to win this last year at 4 times the price he is this year so happy the let him go at that price. I was tempted by him as FRL @ 16/1 (although it appears he is more like 10/1 now, I could have sworn he was 16 when I looked)

I also think Harrington might go well this week but I wont be backing him, I will be cheering him on as if I had though.

A bit of a change of strategy regarding bets this week to try mix things up a bit and hope for a change of fortune, only problem is I have my bets done across lots of sites I am struggling to remember where some are.

    St Judes
Ryan Palmer 1.5pt win @22/1 (Unfortunetly had this bet done before SJ opened at 28s :( )
    Dustin Johnson 2pt win @16/1
    Scott Stallings 0.5pt e/w @100/1
    Hudson Swaford 0.5 e/w @250/1 (6 places)

    Lyoness
    Micheal Hoey 2pt win @40/1
    Romain Wattel 2pt win @16/1
    Gary Stal 1pt e/w @80/1
    Brett Rumford 0.5pt e/w @80/1

    Multiples
    1pt double Johnson/Wattel
    0.125pt e/w double Rumford/Stallings

    FRL - Lyoness
    Brett Rumford 0.5pt e/w @80/1
    Daniel Gaunt 0.5pt e/w @125/1

    FRL - St Judes
    Scott Stallings 0.5pt e/w @100/1
    Hudson Swafford 0.5pt e/w @150/1

    0.125 e/w doubles FRL - Rumford/Gaunt/Stallings
