Partner not paying mortgage

Ex is not contributing any payment towards the mortgage. I'm meeting it every month and under pressure. Neither now living in the house and considering putting up for rent. Is it time to get a solicitor and look to resolve this? I've tried to be nice and ask for the money but no go. Even if I just pay 50% to the bank they will still come after me for the rest. Advice would be great thanks

Read the charter. Go to a solicitor.
