Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think it was Denmark (back in our WC94 group).

(iirc Northern Ireland was a Euro Game)

Yeah, 31 March 1993 in Copenhagen.

Heard it the other day on the Guardian podcast, well the year, so looked it up there & that's what checks out

since i have the links open, who scored scored for Denmark & how many WC qualifiers are Spain now unbeaten?

Um, ya got me there. I'll guess Michael Laudrup and 45 games.

Bryan Robson is the only person to have done this in the EPL era

    What is it ?

A hint on this one, Dave Bassett was the last one in the pre EPL era to active what Robson did in the EPL era

not Laudrup, Some clues: he was a striker, won the euro's with them too

close enough with 45, it's higher

apparently :pac: But there's a whole load more things not just listing to it

Do you never hear them mentioning it? Especially the week Dave Farrar was filling in for AC Jimbo, they were on about the Shakhtar-Dortmund game being one for the football hipsters when Real-Man U was on that night too

Right...which two teams hold the joint record of the most promotions into the German Bundesliga and manages to hold the record of being relegated?

In 1985 a Danish international player managed a unique feat. In 1987 a Welsh international repeated the feat (coincidentally while playing for the same club).

What was the feat (bonus if you can name either/both of the players)?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,721 ✭✭✭Al Capwned

No idea what it was, but I'll guess John Sivebaek and Mark Hughes.... :pac:

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,097 ✭✭✭roanoke

I won't confirm/deny either of the players until someone gets the feat first.

Hint : It's very unlikely this feat could ever be repeated in the current/modern era (although I can't be 100% sure on that).

Sivebaek didn't start playing for United until '86. Jesper Olsen was around at that time though, but Sparky had moved to Barca by 87, so it's not a United connection (but could be a Barca one)

Could be Clayton Blackmore and Jesper Olsen then. :pac:
    Not a clue... I'm out.

Could be Jan Molby and Ian Rush, I've no idea what the feat is though.

That statement is correct. But can you now go the distance, as they say, to guess what the feat is?

well the Denmark game was Eoin Hand's last and the next game was v Wales which was Charlton's first but that was 1986 not 1987

Pretty sure I know the answer after a little research, it was wrecking my head. But I won't post it, would be unfair on the rest of you guys.
