Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

None of those sorry. Although Standard were in 11th place with 90 years. Nantes hold the record in France with 44 years.

Nope - You might think so after Standard were so high but Anderlecht only became a force years after them.

So have just been continuously in the Belgian league for 76 years.

    I say "just".

Surely if Bohs are 9th with 94 years then Arsenal should be there are they are 99 years in the top flight this season

Or am I reading the question wrong ?

The English League has twice been suspended - once for four years and once for seven years.

This is why I'm thinking Servette. Switzerland was neutral during the wars.

Servette we're kicked out of the Swiss league recently enough for financial irregularities,Lausanne Sports and Neuchatel Xamax also. Thinking Switzerland, YB, Basel, FCZ and GZ have been knocking around for years.

Did clocks around the world stop during these periods or why does 99 years not bigger than 94 years?

They werent playing football during this period.

Didnt count it but Bohs went straight from the Irish League to the LOI. So for them its over 100 years of senior football in reality.

Consecutive years would mean calender years I suppose.

If the old Irish league counts then surely so do Soviet leagues.

He's just intimated they don't. Bohs years in the LOI only count. Not in the Irish League.

Ajax have been in the top flight since 1917:confused:

Aberdeen is one of the clubs.

The Dutch league was only founded in 1956 - before that they had regional leagues. So as such they were a regional powerhouse.

The ones got so far were Celtic, Rangers, Cliftonville, Glentoran, Linfield, Aberdeen, Bohs.

    Three left.

Two continental european - actually very hard.

And one from these islands - also quite difficult.

Austrian Vienna but I don't know what the story with their league and when it officially started.

I'll just give the final two answers - Rapid Vienna and Distillery from NI.

I got all the info from RSSSF bty

Its interesting that such a powerful nation as Germany only started a proper league in the 1960s. Before that it was regional leagues. The only club that has been in every top flight since has been Hamburg.

And they nearly blew that a couple of months ago. Looks like there going to give relegation another go this year.
