Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Explain this sequence of letters and numbers :

    HB5,MD5,RF5,RR5,FS6,JC7,RD9

I'd imagine RF5 is Rio Ferdinand # 5 (his squad number)

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,097 ✭✭✭roanoke

It's not licence plates or squad numbers.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,837 ✭✭✭intellectual dosser

.....and now I'm not so sure.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,097 ✭✭✭roanoke

.....and now I'm not so sure.

I'll give a clue then. There is many more entries to the left of that sequence, but no more to the right of it.

Also it might look more familiar read this way:

    RD9
    JC7
    FS6
    RR5
    RF5
    MD5
    HB5

Finally it's prem related and not a trick question or anything!!

Going back to that earlier question, Edgar Castillo has played for and against the Mexico National team (his new country being USA).

It's a list of the players who have scored the most own goals. RD9 is Richard Dunne with 9, JC7 is Jamie Carragher with 7 etc etc

I have Football Manager to thank for knowing that one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,888 ✭✭✭Charisteas

And the brothers have Football Manager to thank for being picked for the Philippines national team according to a story about an anonymous FM gamer who contacted the Philippines FA to alert them of the Chelsea brother's Philippine mother and eligibility to play for them.

Gowan Pinturicchio with the next question :D

The winner beat a team in the final who they had already played earlier on in the tournament? Just a guess, but defo right for 5 of those 7 anyway.

Spot on. All 7 finals featured teams who had also played each other in the group stages of those tournaments.

Correct. Strange to think Staunton scored a hattrick at all, let alone off the bench!
