Great get, I would never have got that. I remember him playing for Shamrock Rovers back in the early 80's and he moved to Spain. I forgot he played for Ireland too.

  • Registered Users Posts: 848 ✭✭✭Muff_Daddy

Great shout, Alan Campbell is correct, had quite the career. Ironically his replacement at Racing was none other than Liam Buckley.

    One more to get.

    Pre 2003.

This player actually had a quite similar career path as your previous answer.

Not sure how easy or difficult this one is going to be, but here goes:

This player has won trophies in two different continents, has scored against Man United but never played in England, and has won as many club trophies (leagues and cups) as there are letters in his last name.

Not him I'm afraid, he has many more club honours than he has letters in his last name.

There could be other valid answers here for the record, it's just something I put together on a whim with one player in mind.

Incorrect. Next clue is that the only major European league he played in is La Liga (the others being the Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1 of course) but he didn't win any trophies there.
