    Now obviously no more then anyone here I don't have a clue what actually went on. But anywhere I have seen this video posted the general consensus by people who have commented(people from Galway AND Donegal,students etc) is that the customer was at fault. There is nothing that justifies bouncers hitting out at a member of the public, but at the end of the day, they are only human and if somebody is swinging for you and trying to bite your ear and has possibly done a lot more before the camera was turned on,then of course you are going to defend yourself.

    If the young fella was being targeted and treated like that just for being drunk,well, that's just bull**** and the bouncer should be punished. But if the young fella caused this I feel very sorry for that bouncer, because he probably is going to get into some deep **** after this video going viral and not only lose his job, but could also be charged! But definitely something big could have happened before the camera started rolling, the person who owned the phone didn't just happen to have their camera on! They took it out when it was getting interesting!

    Anyway, that's my input before bed :D

    That video just shows bouncers who are not properly trained. Proper Bouncers would have been trained to properly restrain him and remove him from the premises. The head butting in the chest just shows how unqualifed they really are.

    agreed, he didnt deal with the situation properly, need to go back to bouncer school. The other bouncers got it under control as soon as short baldy stepped back. Headbutt and punch is the least effective way to remove someone.

    Bouncer could have handled it better but the provocation these guys would be under all week would be huge. No one here really knows what started it but the amount of students that act the prick this week just for the sake of it is ridiculous. And they seem to be coming from all over the country now because this week has a name.

    I wonder was there any garda around supermacs that night, it all comes back to the policing & judicial systems in this country. If there was better policing & enforcement of our laws then this type of thing wouldnt even be getting to this stage most of the time. A message has been sent out that its ok to wreck property, be a nuisance, drunk & disorderly in public & all you'll get is a possible slap on the wrists.

    Start giving out hefty fines or short custodial sentences for people taking the piss like this & we won't be long in seeing a change in behaviour

    I had a look at that video.

    Very nasty situation, IMO.

    I'm no expert on these matters, and I don't know how the situation developed, but my feeling is that the headlock used (0:30) could potentially be dangerous.

    Can't say the bouncer looks great in that video but there's practically a Riot around him and the students involved look like complete scumbags.

    Certainly wouldn't like to be working as a Bouncer this week.

    One pissed guy who can barely stand.
    One lippy guy trying to stop his mate being assaulted by a lunatic bouncer who's lost the head completely.
    Nobody else doing anything at all except watching or filming on their phones.

    Many of the people socialising aren't students, unemployed and employed young people have been joining in all week, not alone city dwellers but also party-goers from throughout the county.

    at the end of the day u dont get punched by bouncers for just buyin a burger and leavin the premises. from all my extensive travels both home and abroad i have never ever seen someone gettin done by bouncers/security anywhere when they dont deserve it....(i include mates in that bracket)

    seen it happen in uk, sydney and a few times here so it does happen i'm afraid to say. NOT ALL bouncers are thugs some are really good at their job but some are like that moron nothing but a thug

    He won't so don't waste your time asking him. Previous posts show a serious problem (chip on shoulder) with those in authority. Not worth the hassle or an infringement to interact.
