Turned off the wireless button to disconnect internet and now it won't turn on! Any override combination?

What brand laptop and model number? Sometimes uninstalling the hotkey function program can cause these issues. Also make sure WiFi is not completely disabled in the bios

Whats the actual number? Should be on the sticker underneath the machine usually. Also, have you tried pressing FN and F2 keys simultaneously, according to Google, this should switch on wifi on some fujitsu machines

It was a key combination in the end. Me and computers:eek:

Whilst I am on, I have an older laptop ,Knackered.Can I wipe it clean before I throw it out ?

Yep, once you have restore disks you are good to go wiping it

IF you dont happen to have restore cd,s see Below programs that wipe ,erase all data from a hardrive.

download,and install on a windows laptop.
You could put it on www.adverts.ie free ,and someone will use it for parts, after
wiping the hardrive.
