I thought in general in the first half Torres played well, but his job is to put the ball in the back of the net and he missed loads of chances.

I thought he was poor all round, either missing passes or playing them behind the man, giving the ball away with poor touches and of course missing chances... Standard Torres.

When the team needed him he made the difference, Eden Hazard is certainly the star of Stamford Bridge these days. A most precious, rare talent with an even head on his shoulders. That goal was genius, pure footballing genius.

On the flip side it wasn't a good team performance. Too many missed chances, giving up too many good chances, and a striker who could genuinely be the least effective striker in the entire competition (I honestly don't think I am exaggerating). Ba must start on Sunday. Shame Oscar was taken off, up to that point I thought he was our best player. I really don't fancy the Ramires/Mikel midfield at all, but then I don't fancy Ramires/Lampard or Mikel/Lampard either, basically I think we could really do with a central midfielder.

But that Hazard strike has put a smile on my face and Liverpool going out has only widened that grin. All in all a satisfactory night topped off by the brilliance of Eden Hazard.
