Goode is absolutely solid, if not unspectacular at full back.

He took a bullet at one stage and went down holding his face soccer style. Whining is one thing but he's taking the piss .

Thomond, I know you rate the other French halfback, but surely you agree that Parra is so much better, non?

Fofana and Picamoles have been outstanding.

Time to see if England can hack it mentally now, France have turned up in a major way.

I saw that, he doesn't win too many fans doing stuff like that.

Parra is probably better but Machenaud was playing well before the tournament.

Joubert is defo doing France no favours. England off their feet at every ruck.

I thought France were doing the same thing early in the half though. I think it suits both teams in this game.

France making some really stupid errors on the ground. Particularly clearing the tackle area... it's a SH ref ffs

Cracking game so far. I'm loving the personal battle between Huget and Farrell, which Farrell appears to be losing!

    Farrell's actually losing the plot...

Bit of pressure on him finally, showing his class with all the bitchy stuff off the ball.

Nothing new with Farrell. Touches of class mixed with complete idiocy. Great match.

inverdale reckoned she needed something thermal on under that

    anyway to the rugby
She plays rugby so is surely still a valid topic of discussion. :)

Huget has been really getting under his skin for the entire first half, here's hoping for more in the second half! :D I know it's easy to be out shadowed by the sheer class of Picamoles and Fofana in that half, but it must be said, Huget has played well so far.

Credit to England. They look mediocre but they are just one point behind. Great discipline. Where would we be against a French performance like that?

I would have thought Fofana is more like a 13 than a 12. Whatever about that, I'd rank him as the world's best attacking centre. Basta looks a little ponderous esp. compared to Tuilagi. French back three are really firing - beautiful catch by Clerc from a kick, Fall is up on the English after every kick and Huget looks like he will break through the English line at some point.

I missed that in real time, it looked like he just threw himself at Huget.

speaking of Farrell i would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Irish ladies on a superb triple crown win.:D

Farrell should leave the niggling to others. He's not got the temperament for it and they can't afford to lose him.

Missed the first 30 or so mins, that try from Fofana was simply sublime. One of the best individual tries I've seen in a long time.

Domingo is one hell of a scrummager...another PSA mystery as to why he's only being selected now.

Great scrum but really poor kick from Parra, never looked like going over.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,631 ✭✭✭Swiwi

Ouch...feel like I'm watching Piri Weepu in RWC '11 final with that kicking from Parra...

Where's Stéphane Donald when you need him...

    Fofana is eveywhere

The attempted tackles were abysmal. Made it look better than it actually was.
