TV card in to PC

Hopefully someone can help me out here.

I have a TV card - Hauppauge WinTV Nova TD-500, DVB-T card.

The card has been rescued from an old PC, where it worked.

I want to put it in to my desktop. The motherboard is X79A-GD65 (8D)

I can't find a slot that the card can go in to. Am I doing something dumb?

The endplate that connects to the case seems to have the card floating above the motherboard, but at the same time, I can't find a slot that this card will fit in to.

Anyone have any ideas???

the card requires a pci slot

your motherboard doesnt have any pci slots only pcie slots which are different

your out of luck unless you want to spend money on one of these

it would be cheaper buy a tv tuner that is usb based

That's what I thought, but just wanted someone to confirm.

Guess I need to look for a new TV tuner card.

Or an adapter. But I'd suggest you get a new tuner.

Looking for a dual tuner card now.

Any recommendations?? Not that many out there.
