Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Delete a contact.

    Just wondering how do you delete a contact, that keeps showing up on your iphone?

    Basically I deleted it from contact but if i go to write a new text message, the name will appear once i type the first letter of the deleted contact's name.

    Any ideas? It's just really bugging me.

    When I search for it, it shows up as 'other' while all other numbers are 'phone'

    When I delete a contact I go to the contact details, click on edit and go to the bottom where it has delete and click on that. My contacts sync with iCloud and they disappear from iCloud instantly too once deleted. Have you your contacts backed up with another service maybe?

    Nope not synced with anything at all, just icloud to back up. This contact isn't present anywhere that i can see. Only when i go to send a text it appears first in the list when i hit 'S' - contacts name begins with this letter.

    Anyone got a clue whats going on? I've googled but any of the solutions up there don't work either.

    Thats strange alright. I just deleted a contact there to test it out and when I start typing their name in a new message they dont come up as an option.

    Would they be saved on the SIM by any chance? After that I'm stumped.

    I'm guessing the number you deleted was that of another iPhone user you were sending iMessages to?

    I think it has something to how Apple store iMessage data.

    Yep that's the issue. Seems like there's no fix. Great.
