Two red flags later a great finish to race 1 in WSBK. Awesome pass by Laverty on Melandri at the corkscrew on the last lap.

What was the reason for the Kawasaki dropping back like that? Tyre wear again?

Rea and Haslam confirmed for Pata Honda 2014.
Poor bastards if they are using the same old tired CBR1000s again is all I can say.

Overriding does no rider any good, that said maybe the new rules might change the playing field a small bit.

The Magny Cours round was crazy, Sykes's is completely at home on that Kawasaki. Lucky for Eugene and Guintoli that the red came out when it did, or they would be way back on points.
Elias had some raceface on when he knocked Phillipe off!

According to Biaggi, Gigi Dall'igna is heading over to Ducati from Aprilia.
If true this could be very bad for Aprilia, and likewise the recently signed Marco Melandri and Guintoli.

Great double by Laverty today with an amazing overtake on Melandri on the last corner if race 1.

Congrats to Sykes on the 2013 championship.

Its great news for Kawasaki, they haven't won anything for a long time.
Great for Sykes too, he really deserved it. I have to admit I would have loved to see Eugene on the top step but the crashes and mechanical/electrical problems at the beginning of the season really put him in a chasing position.
I hope he has a competitive package next year in whatever series he ends up competing in.

Been told a usually very reliable source close to Pramac that Eugene will be at Pramac most likely liding a production Ducati. I would imagine he'd be signing a two year contract with the rookie season to learn. Dovi has one year left on his contract so that could open a spot on the factory team which is being run by Gigi who obvioulsy knows Eugene very well from Aprilia and is a big fan of

Sounds like Eugene will be riding for Crescent Suzuki in WSBK next year. I'm sure he is looking at a Suzuki MotoGP bike for 2015 too. Here's hoping it all works out.

Camier left high and dry by that signing.
No doubt that Eugene is much faster than Camier although the Ape is a much better bike than the old GSXR.
