Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I end up wearing a 6-8 in trousers but when it comes to dresses/tops I have to get a 10-12. I normally get around this by wearing 50's style dresses which are brilliant but it would be nice to have something for someone with a relativly small waist. I am tiny too 5ft 1in but take a regular leg length.

Just a thought but have you tried shopping for dresses (other than 50's style i mean :) ) in vintage shops? tea dresses maybe? I'd imagine vintage dresses would cater more for petite sizing than all that high street vanity sizing!

I do go to Carousel a lot and have some stuff from them but I just found it fustrating yesterday when I got a dress in Tesco yesterday and the size 10 was not even nearly big enough but I wear a size 6 in their skinny jeans :( I have a 26 inch waist but shops do not seem to cater for genuine hourglass and I always need a belt.

tan11ie an looking at that link now, thanks.

Boden do a nice petite range, might be worth checking out.

But its quite likely that nowhere will cater exactly for your petite figure.

I do not need petite - never wear petite - but the hour glass seems to have been ignored :( Will have a look though, thanks.

If you are 5ft1 and a size six to eight I think you probably are petite.

I'm bigger and taller and I buy some from their petite range sometimes.

I also have big boobs and small shoulders so I can sympathise.

I am petite but I have regular length legs so am wierd shaped:P I suppose it could be worse but it would be nice to have clothes that fit.

If you find it that difficult to find clothes that fit you you may need to factor in the cost of alterations when buying clothes. It's not ideal but if you can't get clothes to fit it may be the best option.

Try one of the fuller bust specialist brands? Pepperberry, DD Atelier, Urkye or Biu Biu all cut for a top-heavy shape.

Sounds like you'd do well in an 8 Really Curvy at Pepperberry.

Just wanted to thank you again for that web site - it looks great and what I was looking for - would be nice to be able to not have to always use belts on dresses - thanks!

Bravissimo do good size dresses too.
You are a similar size to what I was before kids.
I found buying skirts and tops easier then dresses as I needed an 8 and a 12.
Phase 8 is good for a bigger bust too.
