Hey there,

Personally I like the lecturers in this department. They are all good at what they do. I suppose it depends on what you specifically want to do. What courses are you interested in?

I am especially interested in such courses as Literary and Cultural Theory and Comparative Literature.

I studied between the Ed. Dept and the LLCC and loved it! I found all the lecturers to be talented and committed. I'm currently doing a postgraduate research degree between both departments and am enjoying it as much as my undergraduate degree.

I wouldn't let one persons negative experience put you off. With your background you might be better suited than the previous poster. Plus, I think if you want to do well in a MA you need to be prepared to be committed and dedicate yourself to the workload.

You could mail the course director and ask for a contact from a past student who enjoyed the course and ask for their perspective. It would be good for you to see both the positives and negatives before deciding!
