Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Steel on Top Cages

i'm writing this as a warning for anybody considering buying from Steel on Top. at the end of last August i ordered a cage from them. when they came out to fit it the problems started. first off they arrived with the type of thin jigsaw mats you might use in a creche. about 12mm and hard. luckily i had spare mats in my gym and although the guy said 'its no problem, we use these on concrete floors' as someone who actually trains i knew they'd be dangerous so we used our mats...at our expense.
the canvas they used is the cheapest type of plastic you can buy. the tiniest bit of sweat on it and it becomes a dangerous ice rink. finally the cage fence material they use is not suitable. rock hard, not coated with plastic or rubber and basically is like training against a cheese grater.
as i was leaving the next day for a couple of months and the guy seemed genuine when he agreed to change the canvas and fencing i paid in full...yes i know. anyway now almost 6 months later i am stuck with a cage that we have not been able to train in at all! he is impossible to get on the phone/email, seems to have forgotten english and shows no sign of making any changes to the cage. basically i paid top dollar for cage...and now have to spend a lot of money replacing canvas, fencing and supply my own mats.
i warned these guys several times if they didnt get on top of this and fix it i'd post this publicly however with nothing been done 6mths later its obvious they dont care. so consider yourself warned!

Hopefully they'll listen up now that the entire Irish MMA community has read this post and come out and do what's fair.

'The Cheese-Grater' would make an awesome MMA Knickname.
