Hi guys I am In third year right now and am thinking of skipping TY and going straight into the 5th year. However TY in my school is compulsory.
I understand you are able to go to the Institute of Education to do this but im wondering if places are only offered to students who do well in their junior cert mocks. I got 2 A's 4 B's and 2 C's in the mocks. Would it be harder for me to get in or am I just being silly? anyone been through the system?

You'll definitely get in with those marks, I know people who've done well worse than that and are still going to Leeson Street.

The IoE will take you if you are willing to pay the fees. It is a private money making business at the end of the day.
