    Hello,

I am going to import good quality wine from spain.
    Similar quality to berberana.
    Its a wine from rioja.

I think I need to do the following.

    1)Set up a company.
2)set up as a temporary trader.
    3)pay excise duty and vat.
4)Pay for wine at source and get shipping company to collect

    Have I missed anything ?
    Is there another/better way ?

For anyone who´s gone through the process I´d appreciate feedback,

    Thanks.

    Hi there

Some years ago I was trying to set up a business importing wine directly..had made good progress but was unable to get my hands on the cash to place my first order..

My best advice is to call your local revenue office to discuss your plan and what you need to do...they were very helpful to me and gave me all the info I needed.

    Hope it works out!
