As an adjunct to the Making Every Euro Count thread, here's another - where's the cheapest place to buy X.

As a starter, where's the cheapest place to buy barley (1) pot barley (with its covering, like brown rice, so more nourishing; (2) pearl barley (without the covering, like white rice?

Obviously, if you're using a lot of barley the best thing to buy is barley sold as poultry feed; however, this isn't that palatable for humans, and it also goes off after a while, so you're unlikely to use it before it's rancid.

So what's the answer: Dunne's? The Indian shops? Aldi? (Do Aldi still sell grains like that?) Tesco?
