CSDS clinched the division title with a high scoring win against Newcastle.
FRF took second with a hard fought win over Fingal.
Dread0s win over couch potatos took them to 4th...but just on points scored

All to play for Kilsough and Newcastle next week to see who stays up. Newcastle are home to bottom club fingal while Kilsough travel to 2nd place FRF.

Cheers, have never gotten so hammered on penalties. Conceded 11, and you picked up 24 points from that!

I think you played aggressive in the breakdown (8 turnovers & 11 penalties)...i reckon if you hadnt, you'd have turned me over. Good game though!

Ulster Trials won at home 37-3 against Nenagh
the Slashers won at home 28-8 against Try Again
Edmonton lost at home 7-28 against Westmen
the Dannys won at home 38-3 against Bosher xv Nenagh

table following later only change westmen move up to 3rd on points diff and bottom three bunched up and any one can avoid dropping down if they win and can drop if loose right down to the wire, a great league
this season .....heres hoping it goes from strength to strength

cos i do the table i feel uncomfortable commenting on my progress in the boards league but this morning when i logged on and found that my team had won i was thrilled ,i know its sad but it really made my day ,i know its only a computer game and all but its a great distraction from the humdrum and misery of day to day life so i'm quite bullish i have a chance to get a trophy again this year ....sorry mar-z but it was you or me sooo goooo WESTMEN !:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

only position changes are forza juve and ELAT swapping places into 4th and 5th respectively. in other news polk high secured top spot this week with the help of fight club pegging leinster racoon back a notch.

as has been known for a few weeks MWSAG and Killarney are relegated, Kilarney will be a dangerous proposition upon their return as they have been picking up pts the last few rounds and seem to have stepped up to the mark in competing with the other teams. ELAT in particular had a lucky draw against them this round.

Right, with the last fixtures of the boards season coming up on Thursday I would like to thank everyone who pitched in with keeping up with tables, etc. as I let things slide this season. So my thanks to (in no particular order): eoferrall, effluo, [jackass], westman1, daheff, Davyboy.

Big thanks to daheff who threw in mid season with a load of fixture organising!

On this note, I'm unfortunately going to step back from the boards league for the next while. As was happening this season I'm putting less time into br at the moment (not lack of interest but lot of stuff keeping me busy elsewhere) and my time spent on the boards league is the first thing that suffers when that happens. I'm going to kick off the sign-up thread for S19 anyway in the hope that a few boardsies start up with/continue on their work with the comp as I think the league works really well. It's come a long way from the 8 team competition it started as!

Anyway thanks for everyone who has helped with fixtures and tables since I started running the league a number of seasons ago! (TheJims, Satory, Phonehead and probably others I'm forgetting of the top of my head helped out in previous seasons as well as those named earlier)

p.s. I'm sorry if I missed ppl in my thanks!

Fingal sign off their season with a win...a nailbiter to the end. Kilsough went down too (due to a 48 -22 loss to FRF), but how much did the 3 games not accepted cost them in the end...well Div 3 status for next season for a start!! Those 6 points dropped keep Newcastle West in Div 3 for another season.
Couch Potatoes beat Yermen thanks to 28 points (yes 28!!) from the boot of Junior Brayer..sealing 3rd place(and crucially a trophy) for Couch Potatoes.
Dread0s & CSDS played out a predictable win for the champions.

Well done to all ...good luck to those going up to Div 2, those going down to Div 4, come back soon :). Those still in Div 3, better luck next season.

Mayo Migrants Fans Celebrate during emotional scenes at the final whistle of their 57 - 7 win away to Tallaght Tigers

Mayo Migrants fans were in rhapsody tonight, as Marcony's men sealed their place as DIV VI champions and thus secured promotion in impressive style at Tymon Park.

Migrants manager Marcony was barely able to contain his delight when interviewed soon after the final whistle "We worked....we worked so hard for this, all the boys throughout the year, we talked about this trophy and it's the big one we wanted to win." he said.

"There's moments in the career you know you're never going to forget, moments that make it all worth while. I just couldn't be happier. All the lads really deserve this, and we're going to go out tonight and really celebrate this one".

In truth, the mighty Migrants won the championship with plenty to spare. They came in to tonights game knowing that if they put in the type of performance they knew they had in them, struggling Tallaght Tigers would be no match for them.

Over at Lord Sauron Memorial Stadium, title contenders Lokomotiv Mordors coach Bushbleacher was defiant in the press conference.

"What makes them champions?" He barked.

"We beat that lot twice this season, home and away, our lads were the strongest in the competition! We hired an intern during the season to do some administration work as my sister in law asked me personally, and I couldn't say no...the little dickhead lost the fax number of the competitions administration office and lied when he said he had confirmed our upcoming fixtures, which he hadn't. We ended up forefitting those two games, which in my opinion cost us the championship!"

He concluded by saying "I should have known the fax didn't go through when the fax conformation he handed me was written in pencil on the back of a Girls Allowed poster..."

Meanwhile, Blue Magic Boss Jackass was in fine spirits after his side achieved a 46 - 19 victory over fellow midtable side Ponyo.

"We knew coming in to the game that we had a chance of securing 3rd. We spent a lot of time doing video analysis on Ponyo, and we knew they were going to be a good side."

However, the Blues Boss admits to making some mistakes "On the coach over, we realised the tape we had been watching in the video analysis was actually the 1987 world cup final between New Zealand and France...so we came up with a new plan and thankfully we just about hung in there, got the bonus point and denied them one in return....just!"

June Sarpongs Spunky Backpack Coach Pablo Sanchez continued the somber mood over at Lord Sauron Memorial Stadium, as he followed Lokomotiv Mordors coachs comments in similar vein...

"4th? Me arse. Those Blue panzies got a walk over in their equivalent fixture here, and got 5 points out of it. And they only finished 3 points ahead of us. So you tell me, is that right or is that wrong?"

He continued by saying "Next time we see those pack of losers, we're going to crush and humiliate them. They're such losers."

He did summarise however that "We're not bitter though. Fair play to everyone else. I just think Blue Magic are sh*t".

Kick to Touch boss Serge Blanco was very philosophical when commenting on todays defeat to league rivals Alling Allstars.

"Did we lose? Oh, I wasn't really watching. At this point in the season, we knew we were out of contention and didn't even bother training this week. In fact, some of the lads out there aren't even the lads they said they were. Half the team has gone on a stag over in Marbella. I'd be there too, but I wasn't invited.."

Alling Allstars Boss Daheff wasn't letting any excuses take away from his sides victory however...

"We've had a good season. Listen, we know we could have done better, but we finished strong. The win here tonight against a team ahead of us in the league. The win, I mean draw against Blue Magic last week - they're awful sh*te though, we should have beaten them, it bodes well for next season."

When asked if he had any regrets about the season, he continued "Maybe just one. Bushbleacher from Lokomotiv Mordor called me up and asked how things were getting on at the club. Once he knew we had a lot of lads working voluntary to try and get all the administration work done, he kindly offered to recommend an intern to us. A nice kid, if not a bit simple. He messed up our scheduling for two matches. Like when he was supposed to be making travel arrangement to one of our games, he instead booked a table for two in the restaurant of the Tayto amusement Park. We only realised when we were half way there on the coach, so it was too late to make it back in time, so we were deducted points."

"These things happen though" he continued "Next season we'll just have to try and find people who will work for free from Jobbrige".

Last, but by no means least, Tallaght Tigers boss was asked to comment on his season. "A tough season for the lads, most of whom showed great character to come every week and I think we improved as the season went on. We didn't really give a sh*t about this league if I'm honest, we were more focused on our domestic league and promotion, but maybe we'll be back next season, and if we are, well we'll show you what this tigers team is all about!"

And that's a round up to what was a great season and we hope all involved had fun participating. Make sure to sign up for next seasons tournament here and lets hope for an equally competitive and controversial season next season!

Thanks to everyone for a fun season!

I only stayed up in Div 3 last year because of a last day of the season win for me and draw for my opponents....this year I came second. The quality of teams is pretty much the same as last season. Its all about luck on the day

Thanks to everyone involved, it's been really cool having the match summaries etc. Nice sense of tension added when you can see what's playing out without having to analyse other leagues yourself. :)

With the top 4 all winning their final matches, it's as you where in the top League, Only the Racoons failed to gain a bonus point with a meager 3 try haul AHEM!!!! :P

Well done to Polk High, Season 18 Boardies Champion

    Thanks Davyboy!
