That didn't work out too well for Keegan so I won't be trying it.

I'm more worried about some of the shocking performances from the refs this season, don't think I have got a penalty all season;)

    Skysports News Update:

It has been suggested by some media outlets that management at Newcastle are delighted Juan Pablo Pompei was appointed to ref their game at Zenit.

Juan Pablo Pompei ,who's decisions while refereeing Newcastle games in the past have questionable to say the least, was a controversial choice for the Zenit-Newcastle game. He is surely going to be under immense scrutiny, he needs to get every descision 100% right.

The amateur conspiracy theorist populating social media such as Twatter and Facesheet are questioning whether the Association are just trying to hand Newcastle the title ...

Cabella and Castro were also amongst the goalscorers.

    I Kinda expected to be beat tonight. Load of injuries and suspensions;

Plus I took my 3 best attackers off to try and rest them for the league. F**k some mickey mouse cup - I'm gunning for promotion!!! :D:D

Lads could you just reject bids as quick as possible instead of waiting 3 days before doing it

I accept or reject bids no longer than a few hours after they're made and I only normally log in 5 minutes in the morning and maybe a half an hour at night, I can't see why others can't.

To be honest I sometimes like to keep people waiting who think they can fire in ridiculously low bids for the highest scoring striker IN ALL 4 LEAGUES!!! :p

If people want me to give up Derdiyok they have to tempt me with something
    pretty f**king spectacular.

i think i fancy my chances.......

    Alfred Finnbogason > Javier Hernandez

    Lucas Castro > Gareth Bale

EDIT: You realize they lost their last game, right?
    still fuming bout that result!

had Vucinic sent off early and Vidal pick up enough bookings to miss his next match. thank fcuk for the shield tonight otherwise they'd both of been suspended for my match against Real. :pac:

Your "kids" still averaged an 87 (same as me) and were probably in a lot better condition than my squad.

See you in division 1 in a few seasons.....if you can stay there!! :P

    Why though

Your youth players won't rise just from playing them.
Remember the higher position you finish... the more cash you get ;)

you could play the youths 10games straight, they wont improve .... unless they played real good in real life and get rate increases:rolleyes:

*Slates the Div 1 top team for being usless and not knowing anything about tactics*

*Announces he's going to play kids for rest of season despite it not having an impact on youth development*

    :P

This isn't Football Manager. The only thing that affects ratings is real life. Nothing to do with in-game experience.

    Well that's not true...

Players only rise in rating if they do well in real life
Now if you were talking about transfer value then they may rise.

what does this have to do with tactics i slated the d1 leading team because he constantly gave me crap for no reason and you and a couple of others jump to his defense why???

Newcastle United manager Damien O Grady has hit out at UEFA over the appointment of Juan Pablo Pompei as referee for their upcoming league game at Zenit St. Petersburg on Thursday night.

Pompei had to be escorted out of St. James' Park just over two weeks ago after he was at the centre of a controversial league game against Dynamo Kiev. Not one but two penalties were awarded to Kiev in a 2-1 victory for the Ukraine side and O Grady hit out saying "how that man qualified as a referee I will never know".

O Grady was later fined and warned about his future comments but this hasn't stopped the Magpie boss hitting out at UEFA over his appointment claiming "UEFA are making it extremely difficult for English sides to do well"

The point is you've launched attacks on people yourself for not knowing things about how to play the game, so of course it'll be pointed out when you make such mistakes.

Also have you forgotten you were the one who an hour ago posted that Juvi would beat me "easily". Think after that I'm not going to point out the irony involved in your tactical decision for the rest of the season? :D

    From the Newcastle based publication:

Joe Kinnear professes he is the best director of football in the Premier League :D:D

Newcastle’s newly appointed director of football, Joe Kinnear, has wasted little time in yet again speaking to the media with regards to his appointment and yet again he has caused a stir as a direct result of his claims to the Shields Gazette. Joe Kinnear began the interview by explaining just why Newcastle United had approached him to become director of football at St James’ Park, insisting that is was Mike Ashley’s desire to keep up with the rest of the Premier League whom Joe Kinnear claimed, “all have a director of football.” This however is simply not true.

Kinnear went on to yet again publicize his achievements within the game, “I’ve been a manager for 35 years. I’ve been manager of the year. I’ve won every award there is in football as a player. I think all those qualities put me head and shoulders above every other director of football.” Joe Kinnear again presenting misinformation with his managerial career proper only beginning in 1984 not 1978 as he suggested. Kinnear also failed to recognize the worryingly little experience he has as a director of football with Tottenham Hotspur’s Franco Baldini and Chelsea’s Michael Emenalo both possessing wide experience of the role which Kinnear simply does not have.

Joe Kinnear in his interview with the Shields Gazette was adamant his experience as a manager would be enough for him to slot seamlessly into the role of director of football with the sixty six year old believing the majority of the skills to be transferrable, “Some directors of football have never played the game. I’m lending my experience as a manager for all those years.” Kinnear then went on to say how he had spent almost two years at Newcastle United in the position of manager when in reality it was only six months, before stating, “I would still be there had it [his heart attack in 2009] not occurred.”

These are again claims that aren’t likely to sit well with current manager Damien O Grady with the relationship between the pair rumoured to have gotten off to poor start following the cancellation of a pre-agreed deal for FC Twente defender Douglas ordered by Kinnear which was reportedly due to the fact he had never heard of the Brazilian.

On 16 June 2013 in a series of telephone interviews Kinnear claimed he had been appointed as Director of Football for Newcastle United. In a Talksport interview over the telephone on 17 June 2013, Kinnear claimed to have replaced someone called "Derek Lambesi" as the club's director of football, signed Dean Holdsworth at Wimbledon for £50,000 (Actually £650,000), sold Robbie Earle (Retired a year after Kinnear left), signed goalkeeper Tim Krul when he was previously manager (actually signed by Graeme Souness three years prior) and has been awarded the LMA Manager of the Year award three times despite only winning the award once. Kinnear claimed to have signed John Hartson on a free when he in fact paid £7.5 million for the striker. He also mispronounced the names of Yohan Cabaye, Hatem Ben Arfa, Shola Ameobi, and others in the Talksport interview. The appointment, a three-year contract, was confirmed by Newcastle United on 18 June. The confusion around Kinnear's appointment to the role was criticised by former club chairman Freddy Shepherd in an interview with BBC Sport.

Freddy Shepherd went on to say that he hopes this ludicrous appointment doesn't distract from footballing matters on the pitch

right! Vucinic is now on free kicks, penalties, target man, the lot!

gotta keep him top of the goal scoring charts in D1

is the player of the season decided from the average performance chart?
