That SM transfer code does ruin the game unfortunately when people take advantage of it, especially in this game world with the transfer fees involved to get good players

My thoughts exactly. Some of the prices for players is astronomical.

The "illegal" option wouldn't be an issue if transfer fees were in anyway close to a chairmans value

When I short list a player does everybody else get a message that I did this as a player I found had nobody interested in him and then juve just bid can't really buy potential stars with no money if all large clubs get told as soon as I short list somebody, the bottom of 4th division forever at this rate.

Not really. There wasn't a hint of anything dodgy about the transfer deal.
The only reason it got reported was out of spitfulness, for one reason or another.
It ruins something enjoyable and challenging because some rotten egg didn't get their way.

Not how it works, news of your interest will only appear on Juve's news feed if he already had them listed

You do know new players are constantly added to the DB so there are plenty to go around, hoarding is NOT the problem, being too lazy to dig out gems is.

About the cap, once again, it can't be done unless we all agree to it, there is no facility on SM to do it.

I don't have an issue with it. It's going to take years before it becomes an advantage, if ever it does. But you can't compete with bigger clubs that can pay more when it come to signing what I'd call a decent prospect from the data base IMO. Unless there is more to it that I'm missing.
