Maloney with a superb try!

Gaffney kicked over the Blackrock's wing's head, he got back and cleared it under pressure but it offered a good go forward opportunity for Higgins who drew tacklers and offloaded. From the resulting ruck Blackrock were a little short handed and Maloney picked it and went down the touchline to score.

Blackrock respond with a great try of their own. Superb line break at the halfway line that is somehow stopped right on the tryline. But from the resulting play Blackrock spin it wide well to score beside the posts. Interesting!!

Gaffney has mixed some brilliant kicks from hand with some poor ones, but I have to say that he has demonstrated an impressive reading of the game and willingness to try things.
