Woah! Did anyone see/hear the three helicopters flying incredibly low over the sandyford/ballally area about half an hour ago??

They circled for a good 20 minutes. One apache looking helicopter, a less army-ish one, and a garda one (i think). The two army ones were flying together in formation but the garda one seemed to be doing its own thing. Both parties were roughly scanning the same area.

Is something serious happening? Or maybe its just a lot of money going from the mint? Man they are loud, i was sitting here with my noise cancelling head phones and loud music and i felt the vibrations in the floor. Looked outside and i could nearly see the pilot's face it was that low!

Im still searching to see if anything crazy has happened

I would be very surprised if it was an apache!

They often seem to carry out drills with the army garrison attached to the central bank mint. No harm, its a big old target!

I noticed one evening a few weeks ago further out the N11 a couple of army helicopters flying at low level in blacked out formation, only reason I knew it was them was i could see the outline against the clouds, they eventually turned back on their running lights and headed off towards Baldonnell again

    Would have been these

There was a lot of activity at Dublin Airport yesterday - there was speculation it was money, or paper for money..

Maybe its something normal, but with heightened runway security/escorts. Id say since that diamond incident in brussels people are extra wary.

Id love to see more activity with these helicopters, they look and sound awesome. I love watching them :D

Just a routine escort for the paper used for "foldin' moneh".

    Nothing out of the ordinary.

was on the M50 yesterday, when it was trundling past me, I was northbound, it southbound, just after junction 12.

    there were 3 heliflopters
4 trucks with trailers, no backup trucks which I though was strange, as i usually see a backup truck.
    6 motorcyclist gardai
    3 garda cars
    about 8 army jeeps
