Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Parcel motel it?

Think that's the way to go all right. Will use the An Post version of parcel motel though.

Wow, that cheap Animal Crossing, Amiibo powered digital boardgame...

So with the Nintendo rewards discount Smash Bros on 3DS is now €26.11. Not bad? Digital copy, but a sizeable enough discount.

It's the last day of the 5 year e-shop sale. Last chance to pick up some bargains. Metered Trilogy for €9.99. Super Metroid for €3.99 - lots more of course. Gunman Clive for 99c! Tons of Zelda as well, pick up some GBA classics. Must admit I did pick up a fair few.

Thanks for the reminder. I'd already picked up a few things but sure I might as well keep buying stuff that I won't play!

Sure they'll arrange for all this stuff to transfer over to the NX, so this is really prudent thriftiness on my behalf. Probably.

    Thanks for the reminder.

Bloody hell, that's a goldmine if you haven't played them before.

Yes, there are some real bargains. I'm loving Super Metroid. And I have the two GBA Zeldas (Oracle of Seasons / Ages) bought. I'm wondering if I should get 'Earthbound'. People say it's great, a real cult following.

Is Fast Racing NEO worth €11.20?

It's the only thing really sticking out to me that I don't already have

Earthbound is a masterpiece in its own right. It was the first RPG I ever properly played, & I can still hum some of the music from it over two years on since playing it. It's a no brainer really. I enjoyed it so much I went & bought the actual cart (ouch!).

Amazing game. Worth every cent. I'm only sorry we didn't get to play it back in the day, it would have blown my socks off. I fully understand its cult status now.

Fully agree with the posters above, its reputation is well justified.

I take it we can't buy any of these online, only through the console?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,123 ✭✭✭✭Star Lord

They are, though it's not the easiest... Go here:
    http://www.nintendo.co.uk/Search/Search-299117.html?q=&faf=GAME&gst=wiiu_disc%7Cwiiu_digitaldistribution

Log in using your Nintendo ID
There should be a link on the right to buy the game(s)
They'll download to your Wii U/3DS so long as they have sleep mode downloads enabled!

Yes for the most part. You could try buying a physical version of Metroid Prime Trilogy online but you would need to sell one of your kidneys.

does that cause problems with your account, given the prices are in £ (assuming your account has €credit)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,123 ✭✭✭✭Star Lord

Shows € prices for me... ?

    [edit]
    Probably because I'm logged in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,485 ✭✭✭✭Banjo

    ...so was I.

And I logged out and back in again... still sterling.
    (Looking at Minecraft, BTW)
then after looking at Lego star wars FA, which isn't available for sale, and going back to Minecraft, it's in Euros.
    Problem solved!

I saw it in CEX up on Sth Great Georges st in Dublin for €45... not quite kidney levels!

BoxBoy is also half price on the 3DS, separate from the 5 year sale, finishing tomorrow.

And Kirby's Dream Course (new 3DS) is 50% off after spending gold coins on My Nintendo, which expires at 8am tomorrow.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,563 ✭✭✭✭OwaynOTT

Had a great laugh with one of the girls in CeX after lunch. Looking for €85 for paper Mario on GC and €30 for a remote!

Aye they really inflated those gamecube prices. Incidentally, you can buy a wii console for €22 with remote and nunchuck.

Can you play 8 player double dash with two Wii? Be cheaper than getting two game cubes.

I don't think so? I don't think the Wii would have the cables for it.

According to nintendolife the sale doesn't end until tomorrow night 23:59 UK so still a bit of time left.

Think I might pick up the Zelda Oracle games.
