Picked up this charging stand for €3.50. You can dock and charge but still see the console screen to keep playing. Comes with a usb c to usb 3 cable. Handy for travelling as lots of planes/trains have usb charging ports.

    https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F122298169902

Ships from china and lists delivery as mid jan - march so who knows when it will show up. But it did get dispatched an hour after buying it.

For less than €4 it's worth a punt.

Madness to throw a €3.50 no name dock under a Switch when more reputable ones have proven to potentially brick the console, why not get an Anker battery and usb cable for what, €20-odd?

Picked up FIFA 18 digitally via the Norwegian e-shop for €33.87 (may be little bit more depending on exchange etc)

With it on sale until 02/01, it's the cheapest price digitally paying with Paypal. The US is slightly cheaper but a EU Paypal account won't work for payment.

It doesnt have a chip, it's just a usb c cable on a plastic stand so pretty safe.

Ya I've enjoyed it so far. It has a slightly more arcadey feel to it than the other console versions but I sort of like it more in a way I can't properly explain. I mean, you do of course notice the other versions are sharper and the engine a bit different etc. It's a shame EA didn't bother with playing with friends implementation but it's great to be able to play a console football game wherever you want.

Cheaper cables tend to not be made correctly and or cheaply can cause over heating like all those cheap chargers people get in 2 euro shops that catch on fire or over heating the system melting soldering inside the system. As pointed out considering the price of the switch is it a punt worth taking ?

Do you have a link? I don't seem to get the purchase option for games on the Norwegian store (south africa and the others work fine)

I purchased it through the eshop on the Switch itself, not online. Once you change your region on your My Nintendo account it will change to that regions eshop when you access it on the Switch, once purchased just change back your location and re-link your NNID if it was linked initially as it will unlink when you change region.

Mario + Rabbids is €36 from the Ubisoft store if you spend 100 Club Units (formally called Uplay points) for 20% off - https://club.ubisoft.com/shop-discount

It's €45 without the discount (same as GameStop). Postage is free over €30.

I bought a second dock for mine. Spent two hours in bed this evening listening to the wind howling while I played Odyssey.

Then went down to the sitting room and continued on for another hour :)

Using some Club Units I had accrued this was £30, not sure I'll even particularly like the game (not a fan of turn-based strategy games), but at that price it joins the queue with Ittle Dew and Cave Story to be played after I finish Blossom Tales.

Pokemon Moon is 29.99 in Smyths. Not a bad price. Note, it's not Ultra, it's last year's.
