Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Networking Venues

I was looking around for venues in Dublin City centre that would be more suited to small groups looking to have discussions. I'm aware there are a number of MeetUp groups and they have a number of places they go but I'm looking for places that some people would suggest outside those groups too.

What type of networking would you like to do..
Why not set up your own one, all is possible.

What type of group do you want to set up?
    Whats your background?
How often do you want to meet?

I'd be happy to help out here and be a part of it, so now you have already formed a group. All it can do from here is no grow.

It needs structure to move forward. Are you looking to do this for business, mentoring, coaching, friends, sports, relationships, selfhelp.

At the moment I'm focusing on business & coaching, I have a background in child protection but I have just moved into the private sector and i want to start making money. BIG MONEY.

I'm liking the enthusiasm! To give you all a brief overview we are a group of 5 graduates with various backgrounds who are all entrepreneurially minded and want to meet up regularly and generally help each other along as we begin our own entrepreneurial journeys.

Structure is key and the last thing I want to do is waste peoples' time on a Saturday and for it to be boring after a number of sessions and it won't grow if that's the case so I'm aware of this. We're going to have a brief meeting this weekend to put this in place with the view to beginning fully on the 16th.

We have plans for commercialising certain things down the road but for now the focus is on getting people interested and involved and so the venue I was looking for would have to accommodate for large groups on Saturday afternoons, thus my question.

Hi capefear, you'll see from my reply above that we are a group of 5 graduates with various backgrounds who are all entrepreneurially minded and want to meet up regularly and generally help each other along as we begin our own entrepreneurial journeys. I'm aware that there are business networking events around Dublin already but this group would be something that a young entrepreneur could use to bounce any ideas off of like minded people. As for structure, we would like to be engaging everyone and seeing what they think and have open discussions on a number of topics facing graduates in Ireland today.

Just to clarify I'm 25 so when I say graduate there is no age restriction to this. It'll be a place where anyone with an idea and willingness to engage others is welcome :)

I'm liking the enthusiasm too! It's great to meet with positive proactive people instead of listening to the usual negative comments on the economy jobs etc...
