Ouch. Need a few cameramen to do me a favour. Thursday's drunken transfer could prove costly.

So Fellaini and RVP start? Oh well. I need to stop working out 'worst case scenarios' on Sat mornings.

    RVP starts.

    lovely.

all of a sudden he's a very slight differential.

those who have him got a little lucky. now those who benched/transferred him out need a bit of luck.

Puncheon plays, he's on my bench but I'd like to keep him long term.

There should be a bit of craic about RVP today no matter what. Hoping for a blank myself but I'd settle for anything under 8.

Big mistake by a lot of people to sell RVP, i left him as my captain, hope it works out. Could do with a bit of good luck after a bad run a few weeks ago.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

He was expected not to start. You got lucky. Captaining him was a big risk.

Hopefully all of us that benched/sold him can get lucky and he get's a 1 or 2 pointer.

Easy to say with hindsight. Nobody knew if he would start. If he hadn't (and had his price dropped as it should have) then I think it would have been the right decision. As it is he starts,so the decision was wrong in retrospect. Either way both sides were relying on a bit of luck, and either way i couldn't see how either side could've made a 'big mistake' as it was a close decision. All being said, who knows, the replacement could still potentially outscore him.

Not expected to start by whom exactly? I didnt hear anything from Ferguson + co about him not suppose to start.

If he rattles in a couple then it is a mistake but i sold him for 2 weeks thinking he would be benched this week, got Lambert in as he has QPR today and a game next week where as RVP doesn't,a logical move that many made.

good news so far with both fellaini and RVP starting, of course they both need to do well. was a tough call on both players, coulda went eitherway.
Also as mata is my captain i was pleased to read on twitter that today is his 100th chelsea appearance, i know he's going to mark that milestone with 2 goals, 2 assists, a cs and 3 bonus points ;) (i'll settle for 1 goal though)

I got lucky by using my head? He was never going to be rested, he might only play 45 minutes but Ferguson will want the league put to bed as quickly as possible.

they thought he wouldnt start and he currently has no game next week. It also looked like he was going to drop atleast .3. I wouldnt call it a mistake its a move that had its merits thats not worked out. Even some people that kept rvp left him on their bench and all media outlets felt he wouldnt start. Its worked for you but it was a major risky move.
For those that dont have him not many people will have captained him so its not as bad as it could have been.

Expect Berba to hit a hattrick today.

I generally trust what the traders in my place say, and they based the odds during the week on him not starting. These changed slightly when Ferguson said he would definitely feature, but he was still expected not to start. That's if you value the opinion of the bookies.

Let's not get into the RVP debate anyway, it was a gamble either way!

Very true. I'd say the other thread about getting rid of him has taken a few good soldiers down too. It will be hard for people to bring him in now if they got him early on in the season.

Not a mistake. I can understand why people are selling. I felt there was a decent chance he'd start so stuck with him, but he could very easily do nothing and Suarez could run riot.
