Short Term Sky Subscription

Not sure if this is the right forum, sorry if it's not.

Basically, I've been leasing my house for the past two years but now have to sell. My tenants have moved out, and I'm going to move back in until it sells.

My question is, is their any option to get Sky on a short-term contract, like 3 months? The dish is already installed but I can't take out a long contract while in the process of selling. I'll call Sky and talk to them too, but thought it couldn't harm to see if any boardsies have any experience.

    Thanks!

I think you'd be better off in the Satellite forum, but I believe Sky insist on you signing up for at least a year, but will allow you move once, so that might be an option.

Otherwise, if you're only looking at 3 months could you do without Sky and just settle for free to air channels? You could pick up a satellite box on adverts for peanuts and have all the free channels (BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and a few more), if you don't have a Saorview aerial you could always stick with RTÉ player.
