Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is it just an extra waste of the countries resources? Has there ever been any real examples of countries putting through legislation that would really benefit themselves?

If your criterion for determining whether it's a waste is whether or not a country gets to put through legislation that would benefit themselves, then yes, it's a waste.

yes I'd have to agree , the costs associated with wining and dining the elite and unelected commissioners etc in Dublin Castle is outrageous when you think of all the cuts to our poorest in society , was there one day to see kenny and the boys in their state funded suits and eu ties mingling with the other eurocrats while outside a couple of homeless people looked on in dismay.
