She's avin a laugh! The first guy was great, so strong on marketing the brand and getting the name out there, fair play.
Trying to put some possible context on the 'wetting your pants' comment coming up... failing!

    €15??

You can get a packet of 5 disposal razors for €1.50.

Yes, I enjoyed the first guy's pitch.

Definitely can't figure what that comment could be about!

€15 not bad givin the scandalous cost of razors.

I wonder if it's any good though?

And she seems to have more conflicts of interest than most. This might be up her street though.

She's very discerning! Open to correction but I think she's invested once, maybe twice so far since she's been on the show. Could see her going for this maybe, but it's a big investment for small percentage

Really?! I find it really irritating... but I'm not into the wimmins anyway, whatever floats your boat!

Fits perfectly with her current 'portfolio' and for once no conflict of interest!

Nah you're dead on, she doesn't throw her money around willy nilly!

I despair, went in looking for 90k for 10% and ends up giving away almost half the company for the same money. Have these people no common sense, it is a joke, the dragons should be wearing patches and carry a parrot on their shoulder, or is it the simpletons that pitch that's the issue here?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,186 ✭✭✭dee_mc

Ramona has actually invested in 2 other businesses in recent weeks: Improper butter with Eamonn, and Smarty Cat games (I think they're as gaeilge?) as sole investor. I had no memory of that!

In fairness though, some of their demands are ridiculous. If she wanted 90k for 10%, she was effectively valuing her business at €900,000. A bit of an overestimation.

    This pair are hopless.

I wouldn't send shem down to the shop for a loaf of bread.

She's a bit clinical... even when she's being positive she's sooo serious!

"I see your product is called SPN, well that stands for 'Sorry Peter's Not Interested'"

If that's the best that the dragon can offer, his best smart ar$e remark, then he should just keep his mouth shut..

I got one about 6 months ago and bought a few as presents. From my experience, I found it good.

I actually thought that was funny!

I actually thought that was funny!
A few series ago, they used to compete with each other to see who could come up with a pun or quip. They probably thought that it made them look clever but it was a bit insulting to the pitchers.

Wonder will they charge €9 a bag like most cinemas

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,539 ✭✭✭✭road_high

Here we go...another week. Popcorn to start

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,186 ✭✭✭dee_mc

I love this type of product, I'd definitely give it a shot. At the cinema it has to be half salty, half sweet though :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 140 ✭✭jescart

The woman partner finds something hilarious about the whole dragons den appearance.

I wouldn't be that drawn in by the packaging, which could hold them back in terms of impulse buying

  • Registered Users Posts: 140 ✭✭jescart

    Cringe

  • Registered Users Posts: 140 ✭✭jescart

They get so much free food on this show, I'm starving here :-(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,539 ✭✭✭✭road_high

Ah here...those Clearys have plenty of cash from Glenisk. This is supposed to be for start up types??

  • Registered Users Posts: 140 ✭✭jescart

    80k for 15% ? Rofl

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,186 ✭✭✭dee_mc

Packaging is nice but not very distinctive. I have 3 similar tubs in my bathroom from 3 different companies.
