The Patriot Inn is beside the entrance to the royal kilmainham hospital or the Hilton hotel is across the road. There is also Murrays and Carrigans in Kilmainham.

There really is going to be some contrast between Bat for Lashes and Blur.

Won't bother me as I love them both, and I'm sure many will appreciate a support act that is a bit different to the usual by-numbers lad rock band.

Anyway, the weather forecast is looking a bit better than it was for the last few days thankfully.

So what if it rains ppl....so we get wet, adds to the atmosphere if u ask me.
We shall be there for all acts to get our moneys worth :-P
    Can't wait!!!

    In the queue now listening to soundcheck. Spoiler alert, they're going to play Parklife :;

Ticket Master man says there is wristbands so presume there is pit.

Can hear them sound checking now from my garden about a block away. Sounds amazing even from here. Can't wait for the show now. Hopefully this decent weather we have here right now holds up.

Does ticket master man know if it's muddy outside the pit or if the whole venue has the plastic down?

Only the pit area is covered. According to POD's Facebook page, the grass is in good condition at the moment, but they're advising people to be prepared in case the weather goes tits up.

According to POD the field is not muddy and drying still. Wicklow mountains are our shield atm from any light rain showers. Still looks clear for the time being.

    Are folks wearing wellies?
Or do you think hiking boots will do?
I'm going to bring the rain gear for sure.

For those in early Dave Rowntree put up a picture on twitter showing that he has gaffa taped 5 signed drum sticks to the top of the front railing of the pit, I would grab one if you can.

    Sound thing to do.

What's the capacity of the whole gig as a matter of interest?

Also - let us know what the ground's like. I was thinking I might need wellies but I'd say boots or auld runners should be grand since there's been feck all rain so far today.

Since there's 5000 wristbands being given out that seems a tad excessive at this point.

10,000 I believe. Will there be a bad spot in the place if that's the case?

Doubt it. I'm not making it up until late but not too worried about being up the front but I'll be happy enough cause I'm old and don't get out much.

They are hardly giving out pit passes to half the attendees?

Maybe it's less a 'pit' than a divider?

Although 5,000 sounds quite a lot doesn't it? Did Goolay mean 500 perhaps?
