Looking at his last two tweets. I'd say him and Caroline are down. #ftb

I suspected it might have something to do with her. But surely FTB means F the Begrudgers?

Ftb is fight the beast. These acronyms can be misinterpreted very easily. Caroline is on her way to palm beach now so maybe a support to him during interview.

He could be working on his fade. Fade The Ball :)

Foot the bill. I think Shane is the beast.

    I don't understand Twitter machine.

They are usually very interactive on twitter but they have not spoke openly on it in a couple of weeks. Just an observation and its a fact before a mod pounces on speculation posts.

I'm not sure who is they. As we can't say, we are implying that they are who they heretofore are.

This not going on Twitter is good thing no matter what.

Have to ask questions about the caddy here too. Rory is a young lad and can be forgiven for throwing a tantrum every now and again, but that is where the Caddy can come in and say "Count to 10, take the drop and finish the round. We'll sort things out after."

Sometimes it might seem like golfers are out on their own but there is a man/woman talking to them the whole way round. Its his/her job to give advice on the shots but also, I feel, keep check of the mood and temperment of his employer.

How do you know he didn't try do that.
Rory just had a meltdown. Not a person in the world was going to get him thinking rationally in the situation it seems.

The minute he got home he knew he had messed up he said.

How do you know he didn't say this? Maybe it fell on deaf ears. Kinda harsh attributing blame on the caddy unless you know he did nothing to help.

Yeah fair point, I dont know what he said. But I guess what I was trying to say is that JP should have made/convinced him finish out no matter how bad he was feeling.Whatever he said or didnt say, didnt work. Maybe someone else could have convinced him that walking off was not the solution.

Why do people always try to blame JP when things are going bad for Rory, yet he's never mentioned when Rory is winning majors?

always the way. I know the pro has to hit the ball but for most other decisions the caddy is right there in the thick of it.

Is this really that big a deal? It's not as if folks are losing life or limb.
Bit of news, yes but way overkill at this stage IMHO.

Yes it is big news if you're a golf fan - world's #1 player showing a total lack of respect to the tournament sponsors, his fans, his own sponsors but most of all a lack of respect to the game of golf :pac:

If you're not a golf fan then no, it's not big news......but then I'd have to ask what you were doing on the boards golf forum :p

What time is the interview on at?

I assume it's just the usual pre tournament press conference which is on at 2 P.M Irish time.

Rory is set to give an in depth interview on Tuesday morning and from reports he is going to be very honest and frank in it.

Should be very interesting to see what he has to say. I'd say he is very embarrassed with everything that went on this weekend.

    False Advertising ForeRight :)

So Rory is saying that is main problem is with the swing and that he needs to bring the club more inside on the way back and that this new routine "feels alien". You have to think, why doesn't he just do what he was doing at the end of last year when he was dominating and playing so well.

: Rory: "In the long run, I think Friday will be a blessing. It was like a release valve. It's just a game. I have to have fun out there."

Could he be the new Ian Baker Finch? Or even going down the Harrington route? You win 3 majors, beat the heck out of everyone and then decided...yep, now is the time to completely change everything? </Joke>

Mention of Harrington..I see he has a hat now that monitors his brain wave activity !!

See Rory is paired with Donald (and Woods) for Thur/Fri - I would imagine someone having difficulty with their swing (ie irons ;)) would rather go to the dentist..

Agree completely with this. Played it perfectly.

Imagine if Tiger had taken a similar attitude in his dealings with the media. The golf writers (if not the red tops) are not out to get you so treat them with some respect and honesty...you'd be amazed how good it could work out for all !!

    Totally agree with this
