The S.C.O.O.P Foundation are pleased to announce their upcoming fundraiser ‘Elton John’s Greatest Hits - Reworked’ on March 6th from 9:00p.m to 11:15p.m. in the Grand Social beside Dublin’s Ha’penny Bridge.

On the night five bands; The Elephant Room, Familiar Creatures, Handsome Handsome, Gavin McCaffrey and Nella Dwyer will each perform three exclusively reworked versions of Elton’s most popular songs. Prizes are up for grabs on the night for best costumes, including two passes to the Vantastival Festival in May and The Galway Film Fleadh in July. So come dressed in your flashiest and most flamboyant threads! Entry is just €5 and doors open at 8:00p.m

The 3rd instalment of the Re-Worked series in the Grand Social sees Dublin based charity SCOOP bring you what promises to be a fun filled night of classic glam rock from the 70s and 80s! With hits such as Bennie and the Jets, Rocket Man and Tiny Dancer, we're sure to have you up on your feet and singing your hearts out!

Speaking about the event, events officer Philip O’Brien said “it’s going to be great night of fun and music. The bands lined up are all fantastic, their kindness in performing without taking a fee goes to show that there is huge support for charities out there. I can’t wait to see what sort of costumes people in too, the more crazy the better!”

The SCOOP (Supporting Children Out Of Poverty) Foundation is an innovative and dedicated charity who endeavors to rase funds through their own unique events and ideas to build schools and opportunities for children caught in the poverty trap in Cambodia and India. We currently are aiming to raise €80,000 to create a brand new ‘educational village’ to provide education, support and shelter for the local community in Varanasi, India.
