    http://www.polygon.com

this imo is a thing of beauty

anyone any idea on how i can build a site on wordpress based on that layout?

If i can get a subpage to look like one of their own subpages i would be more then happy

Im thinking of using one of the responsive frameworks, maybe foundation our bones. Would i be limiting myself with these tho?

Anyone know of a more suitable framework or even a more suitable CMS?

Yeah nice site, looks great, i think most of that site should be achievable through Wordpress without too much bother.

You could start with bones or another framework, but I think starting with a pre-built WP theme that you feel has a structure / layout that suits, would save you a lot of work. Most of the better themes will come with column layout short codes, which are very useful for making secondary pages like the one you've referenced.

Then just a bit of CSS editing can easily change the entire look and feel as you want.

I've used countless different types of cms at this stage, and would always choose Wordpress personally. Way more intuitive in my opinion.

    Best of luck with it.
