Legal aid fees in divorce case

I have searched the forum and not found anything quite addressing this, just wondering, on behalf of a friend, what sort of charges are involved for legal aid services regarding divorce, he will not be coming out with much money from division of assets, but will legal aid look for a percentage or is the rate of ten euro per consultation and fifty per representation the normal?.

that page you linked to actually does have a section regarding rates of payment based on income and capital. I have a similar question based ona similar situation and any more info on payments to legal aid based on assets won in said case would be appreciated. It is ambiguous how they describe the rate of repayment as to what this disposable capital falls under, is it assets won in the case or is it predating the case? Anyone have similar dealings and could share their experience or perhaps the OP has come through the other side of this and could shed some light on it? I'd appreciate any info here, thanks.

I would presume it would have to be pre-dating the case as you are issued with a legal aid certificate beforehand, so how could it include capital after a "win"? Either way it will be cheaper than not using legal aid so I fail to see how it should influence your decision.
