Also, is the radar looking funny in the Wicklow/Wexford/Kilkenney/Carlow etc? Looks like some of the precip. is cut off to me, making a flat edge to the precip. Hopefully it'll be corrected for all the radar watching in the coming days.

Edit; seen best at 5:30 if someone doesn't see what I mean :)

Well they highlighted the risk tonight on the 6.1 but still "sleet with a possibility of snow on the east coast"

If any precip falls it sure as hell isn't going to be sleet.

why is everyone acting like its some sort of ice age? as far as i can see its nothing a jacket wont stop ya going out in and a bit of driving skill for the possible snow fall. ? Am i missing something ?

99% of the population don't even know that a cold snap is on the way, they are in Springtime mode & are in for a big surprise.

The jig is up, wintry showers in the east and south, he says wintry showers, he means a beating of snow.

It will hit very hard, and with Baltic temps, snow depth is a watch and see scenario, the Irish sea will determine how much or the white gold we see (for those on the east coast).

Meath should see some snow if the streamers come in.

It is going to be a disappointment I feel...people getting over excited about it

yes, a good bit of snow would be good. As long as everyone stays safe, obviously.

I had the same, went up to my mother's today because I was concerned about travelling from Kildare to Dublin tomorrow if the weather gets too bad to drive in.

Anyway I told her about the impending cold and her response was, RTE have said nothing about it are you okay in the head..

I bet she'll be glad of the 40kg bag of coal I bought her as a Mother's day present.....:D
