Had a graupel shower in d15 in the last half hour, encouraging signs that we might see some of the proper white stuff!

Skies looking heavy here in D15. No precipitation as of yet though. Proper chill in the wind.

    There isn't much doubt.

    Today

Bitterly cold, windy and mostly cloudy this evening and overnight with scattered showers of rain and hail. The showers will be most frequent over Leinster and Munster overnight and will turn increasingly to snow later in the night. Good dry spells elsewhere, but frost will be widespread and severe with ice a big hazard on roads. Lowest temperatures will range zero to -5 degrees. Strong and gusty northeast winds.
