Skies are beginning to clear here in Cork, which means a hard frost could be on the way. That, coupled with frozen rain and melted snow that fell earlier could make for some very icy roads tomorrow.

How do ye mean? Low DP's are good for snow? And Id descibe the current precip falling as very light snow flakes.

    Dan :)

Whoops, meant they must surely be low enough to NOT mean drizzle/rain!

As has happened in previous easterly events, some of the precip is making it all the way across the country. Was pleasantly surprised to find a light dusting on the car a short while ago here in Galway.

Radar is looking very impressive for this early stage of the event. Textbook streamer activity already showing up :)

The Irish Sea is now steadily picking up. Very windy out there and the temperature is incredibly low considering the onshore breeze. It beggars the question whether i will even get a wink of sleep tonight ? :O
