I'm on the train in from Maynooth to Dublin. Light dusting at home, more coming down as I left, with heavy snow falling in Leixlip - the valley in Leixlip between the two stations looked fantastic, more like Norway than Ireland. Just past Clonsilla now, where there's a light covering.

We had a few flurries of hail in leixlip but they were very short lived.

Update some real snow now :)

Drove through a blizzard going to work and was a great buzz, the only car on the road at time and was able to keep up to normal speed with the ahem, winter tyres I had on.

Is there much snow on the way for wicklow ?

OMG this is the maddest thread I have ever seen on boards. Have any of you realized you have been on a weather thread for hours looking for little flakes of snow. lol
Hundreds of posts loads of detailed conversations but still no snow.
O and the extremely cold temperatures forcasted for tonight have been reduced to only -1 to -4 and the national weather warning has been reduced.
I have never seen anything of the like. you are all mad :p

Lovely, crisp, sunny morning in Cork City. There's absolutely no sign of snow but the odd patch of ice in some very sheltered areas.

Traffic's moving better than usual as it's not raining.

Very normal morning down here so far. It's only 1C though, so snow could yet arrive.
