My father in law has been renting a Garage/ shed located at the back of a rented house ,uses it for storage and parking his car , he has been renting it for over 25 years, has never signed a lease, has the original rent books. Paid weekly for first 15 years until the first of three estate agents took over and upped his rent considerably. They are looking for rent to be paid months in advance,Just wondering what his legal position is regarding sitting tenant status and also about rent increases,
