What is the worst thing you've seen on the Internet

I have seen one or two messed up things over the years, but was told yesterday about some Russian massacre clip which my friend watched and got quite depressed over.

I do not want to see it as it is apparently disgusting and I know what is seen can never be unseen, but wondering just what the purpose of this thing on the net is?

It really isn't good to know of, or conversely some would say that we are so protected from reality that we should know of the evil in the world.

    Scary stuff though :(

I don't understand why people want to watch videos of people being killed e.g. the beheadings in Iraq, or those two lads in Eastern Europe who filmed themselves torturing people. We just seem to be becoming so immune to things like this.

It was dealt with on a lower scale in one of the episodes of Black Mirror recently, interesting to see

    where to start....
tubgirl, goatse, lemon party, 2 girls one cup, the glass jar incident...

or there is the jolly rancher story i read on Reddit (goes hand in hand with the cheetos story there too)

but after a while nothing really gets to me... well except for those videos of japanese girls standing on animals

    Without doubt, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dnepropetrovsk_maniacs

I only watched a mere few seconds of it, but even that short clip haunts me.

There's a long document on Jim Corrs site on Satanic child abuse

( I know its my own fault for visiting the nutters site )

Its bloody harrowing. It took me weeks to get over it.

The worst one I've seen was the two Mexican gangsters murdered by a cartel. The two were tied up and interviewed before a chainsaw was produced, one was left to watch while his mate was beheaded with that. Then they produced a blunt enough blade and slowly took the other guys head off with that. Very disturbing stuff which I wished I hadn't watched. The people responsible are the lowest of the low. Murder is one thing but to make someone suffer like that is beyond comprehension, made me angry more than anything.

i watched that and i actually was shaking after it I actually couldnt belive humans could do such things on reflection today... IM half thinking maybe what i saw was my imagination.... It couldnt have been,,,, maybe i saw it wrong...
One of the frames flashes into my head to this day i saw that clip years ago

How would I go about finding this massacre clip? For science...

Can't really pinpoint anything that stands out. It's ranges from 2guys1hammer to a video of mexican cartel using a chainsaw to decapitate one guy and then a blunt knife on the other fella.

You feel bad initially but become desensitised to it after a while. To quote Rambo: "In my life, I've seen some ****"

The one with the guy being mauled by the bear that was posted over in "Cool videos, links & pic's" last week was about as disturbing as they get.

Seen a lot of crazy shìt on the web over the years, the animal torture porn is up there anyways with the worst, sadistic and remorseless stuff.

Then there's the Hidden Wiki on the deep web which, for the most part, contains boring and useless entries but does have some extremely gruesome reading regarding some subjects.

This question comes up every 2 months. The two Russian kids wins hands down.

Ah answer: worst thing I've ever seen on the Internet?

    Yore ma! :)

A really disturbing video I was stupid enough to watch last week.

It was two Arabian men pushing a toddler into a swimming pool and watching her struggle. They kept pushing her under to the point where she'd probably be unconscious and then they'd take her back out.

Unbelievably cruel and disturbing, I sincerely wish I hadn't watched it.
I also wish people would stop posting disturbing videos on Facebook.

I also saw a mobile phone video some years ago of two men being beheaded and I can never unsee that.

Someone sent me a "porn" video once only it was clear it wasn't staged. It was a woman, blindfolded and obviously under the influence of some drug, being raped by two guys. My friend thought it was "funny and hot" ( his words ) even though the girl was crying and begging them to stop. Needless to say I don't speak to him anymore.

I don't know, I had heard about it and decided to watch it. The thing is, after seeing something like that, it's hard to comprehend that it's actually real. There's so much gore in certain movies that it makes you ask yourself questions like "is that what it's like in real life".

I can't say I ever want to watch anything like that again but there's no doubt I could stomach watching anything after seeing that. I don't think it gets any worse but I won't be trying to prove myself wrong.

jesus i keep coming back to this thread as more memories come back.

there was that mother/daughter japanese porn where ummmm it got very weird. started with an interview with them and them showing pics of the daughter as a kid.

then it all got very weird...

i kinda hope it was staged but it was quite realistic in expressions and emotions....

on a kinda lighter note and somewhat similer there was a porn star in the states who took her mother into the room where the scene was shot and and you can see her in the background sitting down as her daughters head bobs up and down.

I've heard about these other "layers" of the internet or whatever they are called but how do you actually access them??

Not that I want to I am a total chicken sh1t! Saw the Godess Bunny and that terrified me... The whole idea that there is an avenue for anyone to upload anything online makes me very weary....

It's quite a sizeable (and highly illegal) underground market, mainly over in Asia.

They're passed around within closed groups but a few clips tend to make it out onto the surface web (what me and you see daily, websites that are indexed and can be found by search engines like Google).

There was a big story about a year or 2 ago about a video showing a Chinese girl crushing a bunny with a plate of glass. They found her and she gave some excuse of having no money and was forced to do it.

TOR is usually a good place to start. Its not as simple as just typing TOR.com there are programs to download.

Its anonymous as the connection is bounced around (meaning it is a slower connection however) but once connected you start seeing some odd stuff.

I remember this porn clip that was doing the rounds, young couple banging away on a kitchen table, couple of minutes of usual stuff then the camera pans out and there is an old woman (80's+) sitting at the edge of the table eating her dinner. Just something very disturbing about her expression and her movements.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Pictures of a young black man being attacked and burned alive in South Africa.. they put a tyre around his neck and doused it with fuel.

The image of him charred and still apparently alive will stay with me forever..

I don't venture into the likes of 'Photos that Shook the World' or 'The Nope Thread' anymore. I don't have the heart for some of the images.

I realised I'm trypophobic when I was browsing the internet and came across the surinam toad.

It really messed with my head, I was physically sick over it and couldn't sleep, constantly scratching and rocking.

Thought it was a one way ticket to the looney bin for me!

Edit: the photo of the child and the vulture really makes me upset. THat made me cry a few times.
