Traffic warning: avoid Racecourse Dual carriageway eastbound - roadworks in progress

    Just got a call from my brother who is stuck in traffic on the DC, due to the roadworks that maddens are carrying out today. There was something about it on the radio this morning, but nothing I can see on the Galway city website today.

    It's taken him 10 minutes to get to Hogans, so avoid it if possible.

    Just going to pre-empt here, guys. Please keep specifically on topic. Anything about traffic on this dual carriageway or the roadworks that are taking place is fair game.

    Todays update - roadworks are to be ongoing today from 9am and are due to finish at 4pm.

    They were supposed to end at 4pm yesterday but were still ongoing at 5.

    These works are only affecting east bound traffic, correct?
